Hi All,

My dad has been complaining that he thinks his car needs a service. From memory, I think the car is on a 18/24 month service intervals.

Long story short, 90% of his driving is local and to and from the golf course.

I drove the car just now and it has no power! I mean, you floor it and it slowly moves to 3000 rpm and then changes very slowly.

So.......I gave it an Italian Tune up.......and this did improve things a little.....so now it feels like it has 100bhp.

I will book it in with a specialist but any thoughts on the loss of power? It struggles to go over 3000rpm !

Faulty EGR or mostly likely split intercooler hose. Check all pipework between turbo, intercooler and intake.

It will say on Idrive if you get the right screen if it needs a service.

Sounds like it's poorly though.

Yes a little poorly, I'm sure it is just a little minor thing, as engine is smooth, no smoke.
