Mk7 Golf GTD or Audi A3 2.0TDI S line?
Discussion
Right chaps.
I'm going to be ordering my new company car this evening. I've got a decent choice of motors tbh. I've managed to narrow it down to a few.
So, firstly I could get a VW Golf Mk7 GTD manual (184bhp) with sat nav, keyless entry and climate front screen as extras
Or, an Audi A3 Sportback 2.0TDI (150) S Line with cruise control and privacy glass as the only extras.
I can't decide, I want the premium badge of the Audi but you get a hell of a lot if kit on the Golf. Both the engines are darn sweet
Your thoughts???

I'd take the Golf personally, the engine is pretty good and more punchy than the Audis and it has better kit, as I looked at both during my company car hunt, but then again, I ended up with a Volvo V40 D3 which I preferred to both.
"Premium badge", what exactly is the benefit of that? It's a bog standard ten a penny diesel and I would be surprised if it held it's value any better than the Golf.

I prefer the looks of the A3, but as others have said... the engine in the Golf will be better. I think the Golf looks bloated... well, it should drive nice, they are well put together things just ultimately a little dull. Not bad as a company car though, safe, economical, classless, loads of boot space.

PH default answer: Skoda Octavia vRS and £3k stuffed into its (much larger) boot.
Can't have skoda otherwise I would've liked into it. The only manufacturers I can choose from are; Audi, BMW, Kia, Lexus, Mini, Toyota, Vauxhall or VW
Sadly Lexus is out of my price range otherwise there would be no competition!
