I stumbled across these a while back whilst looking for something else. I found them fascinating. I found it a little sad that I didn't look for this sort of thing when my dad was alive, but I wasn't so aware of Youtube back then. He would have been in his late teens when these were made and would have loved them.

I notice the first one says that inside 40 years (2004) there will be 40 million cars on the road which hasn't happened .

Thanks for the links, as a 50 year old I can appreciate all that we have lost, watching the videos was like watching the Ladybird books of my childhood come to life.

Good post OP. Liked 'Living with Cars' from 1964. Plenty of dents on that E Type getting a ticket. I remember using Buchanan's book 'Traffic in Towns' at university.
