TTS v S3

£25k budget, 4 seats, needs to be 3-4 years old, what's between the TTS and the S3, and are there any obvious contenders i'm missing, not overkeen on the 135....

Back seats in a TT are only suitable for small children in my experience, the 2 are not really comparable in that respect

Golf R is an S3 with slightly more sporting intentions.

The TT is lighter than the Golf/S3, so that bit quicker. The trade off is of course that bit of practicality.

can't make my mind up about the golf r, what would a 2011 one set me back? not many for sale..

The TTS S-Tronic comes with wünderbar launch control. The handling is a little bit better than an S3 with it being a bit lower down (maybe a subjective area)

The S3 is much more practical obviously. Same Haldex clutch 4x4 system as the TT AFAIK
