Just helping some friends get a new 3 series. Please no debates on powerfully built directors and only buy the car with cash...

They want to lease or PCP a 328i saloon for 3 years. 8k miles PA.

Car is a 328i Modern with Prof media, leather, heated memory seats, xenons and a couple of other small options. I think it lists at about 37k before discount.

£2000 deposit.
The payment comes out to £514.50 inc vat and the guaranteed residual/balloon is £15220.80

I am seeing deals for non optioned cars at around 350-400, so was hoping for slighlty better although I realise the options just load the monthly.

Whats spoiling it is being in a 640d M Sport for only 100 a month more, but I realise that was subsidised at the time....

Looks very good value for the monthly payment against the list price. Must be a decent discount on the car.

Probably because you'll get a better deal on a new one bizarrely enough if you're leasing (manufacturer contributions etc).

If they're happy to spend £20k over three years and have nothing to show for it at the end, then go ahead.
Are they sure they can stick to 8 thousand miles per year? What are the penalties of excess miles?

What do you reckon it'll be worth after three years?

Value will be the payment required to clear the remaining debt and of course then they'll trade in for another BMW finance deal.

No, I mean what do you think the car will be actually worth on the open market? More than purchase price - £20k?

Edo, of you've not done, have a look on broadspeed and see what discount they generate and how it compares to the 2k off.

Also, I got quotes for a 330d m sport touring a couple of weeks back and the PCP was lower than what you have stated.

I know t isn't the 328i but it was heavily subsidized and the m sport gets loads of kit as standard. performance wise it would also be comparable to the 328i, with perhaps even better residuals which will help the monthlies.

That's fair enough! The 28i looks great on paper and should have some decent money off as it's the diesels that tend to sell better.

OT slightly but I drove the 25d and it was brilliant!

good luck with the search

Pencils sharpened and now under 500 so they are doing the deal with Barons Farnborough who have been excellent (unlike Hindhead who are incompetent fools).
