Which cars do you think are growing old gracefully? Some things I used to think were cool, I now think are horrible blobs, but some only seem to be getting better with age.

Try and think of some, it's harder than it sounds!

Doesn't have to be cars that still look modern (although it can be).

Two nominations:

Alfa 147, always liked these when they were 'current', they still don't look out of place on the road, with a mild facelift they almost wouldn't look out of place in a showroom?

Peugeot 406 Coupe, see loads of these round in France, look slightly dated, but in the best possible way.

For a design which dates back to 1998, I still think the Mk1 Focus looks absolutely fantastic.

Considering these came out a decade ago now, I think they've aged very well. The R171 SLK.

Lexus IS200. stick a private plate on it and give it a polish and it looks very good.

I've dragged that up a couple of times. Fantastic economy and packaging. They command a decent price. They seem a small footprint for the capacity they offer.

E39 5 series. Obviously not a new car but so much more graceful than any of BMW's efforts since.

I can't agree with the squarish box moment at all, but that's my opinion. When I see one on the road, perhaps X reg I really do think how fresh and modern it looks.
