Bit of a pathetic question really, but just want the car to look better than it does at the moment.

I presently have these surrounds fitted, and think that they look cheap and nasty, with the little teeth things along the top and sides: -

I've found these on a well known auction site: -

My problem is that I can't decide if they're just as tacky? I'm not over bothered about the AMG logo, especially as the badges will probably be coming off the car soon anyway, though the fixing method does seem better.

As always, any advice/suggestions welcomed.

If you're not fussed about having a logo, how about these surrounds from Adamesh that don't have the deeper bottom lip?

I got these of Ebay, they work very well.

I think logo.s on the correct car are ok

A plain trim round the plate (like a small frame) looks alright I suppose...anything else smacks of cheap Ebay tat.

Anything German with German writing underneath is completely pointless.

Amg looks tacky, you can get the same thing but with just black at the bottom which looks better IMO

They all look rubbish, just leave it as it is.

I vote for no surround and no fixings showing (maybe on with double sided tape). Always look the cleanest in my opinion.

Pretty much what I have already though.

Sorry, too busy for me...

This is my concern, also that there won't be enough space for the front one.

Think that this is the way to go. The price is excellent on these though, so I may just get them and polish the logo out, or colour match the full panel to the car.

But the ones I have on look rubbish as well... especially with those tabs, looks like it's chewing the plate.

Could possibly be done on the front though I doubt it due to the lack of panel space. The rear fixing is captive nuts into the boot lid which stand proud by a good few mil, so without a lot of grinding and re-painting would prove impractical also unfortunately.

You can get tape a few mm thick so could be used in between the captive nuts
