New BMW approved used cars website....
Discussion
I am a couple of months off (touch wood!) affording a 3 years old F10 530D M sport, and have been lusting over one for ages. Now that BMW have fiddled their new website I am struggling to variant only 530d m sport 2010 onwards cars. They offer engine size 'up to' and multiple variants of cars and emissions(!?) but when it comes to spending £25k I know, spookly enough, EXACTLY what I want.
Can anyone point me in the right of what I am doing wrong!? Can anyone else filter ONLY 530d M sports, '10 onwards, cars?

That didn't work for me. It only lists 3 cars but there are loads available. I suspect that the dealers don't all use "M Sport" as keywords.
I got 25 (nationally) under £25k. I think the issue is that there aren't many for sale under £25k.Edited by Monty Python on Tuesday 4th February 19:52
Appreciate the attempts guys, if I was buying a TV I wouldn't mind sifting through alternatives but if I'm gunna spend £25k I know *exactly* what I want. This isn't ebay or amazon.com where I could be tempted by something else. Filtering then searching seems a crude solution, but gives me no confidence in not missing something due to the way a dealer titled the car.

I think you'll find they're all properly described - the 530d is one of the most popular models in the 5 series range so it's not surprising they're thin on the ground (a bit like the 335d). if you go on Autotrader there are only 20 M Sport models between 20 and 25k - there are more SE versions.
If you go into a dealer and ask them to look for one, they use exactly the same database, so I think unless you accept some compromises you're just going to have to wait until the right one comes along.

Put 530d M Sport in the Keyword Search, find it fast box at the bottom right.

king well at all! Has really hacked me off the last 2 days trying to sort it. Ironically enough, to the point where I am looking at Audi/Mercedes approved used cars and their far better search functions to see how that works/what they can offer...edit: The quick search also only does 30 mile radius. kS SAKE.Edited by Andehh on Thursday 6th February 17:19
I thought I was the only person having issues.
The old search let me select exactly what I'm after and I had a saved search setup that I checked every day.
Now if I want to search I have to sift through all 120 Z4s between 20k and 25k looking out for anything with the 35i text (which is about 3% of them)
Quick search just doesn't work and the detailed search is a joke. If I select "Roadster" from the body style is only shows a couple of cars when the majority of them are roadsters.
I've also noticed that not all BMW dealerships are listing on the AUC site now. The likes of Stratstone have vehicles on AutoTrader that aren't listed on AUC at all. I'm thinking the new website is a f
kup.
Their iPhone app is just as bad!

Think it is just a touch s
te, rather like everyone else really
. Worse still, IIRC, this isn't the first attempt at a major change & the others were equally hopeless as well. Surely it can't be that hard if you have a few quid to spend
.
Maybe just me, but simple oddity in preferences - why 0-65mph rather than 60 or 62? I suspect it is meant to be 60, but boy does it look amateur. Is it really that hard?

Try searching for an X3 35d.... it comes up with all the 35d variants - X5 X6 & X3 which you can't then filter you have to start again. When searching for an X3 try putting in Bluetooth - no results - you can't tell me that none of the 200+ X3s on the site have Bluetooth?
It's crap, more than useless and gives different results to the old site which I happen to have left open on another machine.
This is the third thread on the subject and on one of the others someone has emailed the MD - let's hope it gets through!!
