Coil pack maybe?

Hey guys, my car refuses to start or cuts out after a random amount of time. I took out the lead coming from the coil to the distributer cap and decided to test the spark. It sometimes starts the car when it sparks but most of the time i turn the car over and it doesnt spark.

Anyone have any ideas as to what i should do?

Hasn't got a coil pack. You've just said it's got an ignition coil.

Plus, do you honestly expect all the psychic PHers to know what's wrong with your car, when we don't even know what sort of car it is? (It's obviously very old.)

Its a 1995 Vauxhall Corsa, Sorry im new to mechanics and whatnot, sorry to offend you.... arse.
