my son has had the bright idea of leasing from either this http://www.big-cars.co.uk/finance-form company or one similar.
ie he would be looking to buy an audi at around £300 a month something like this http://www.big-cars.co.uk/audi-a5-tfsi-s-line-conv...
any got any advice on using this method that i can pass onto him.
thanks.

If he is specifically looking at that company then their rates aren't great, 11% on their "lease purchase" (PCP) scheme.

Bank loans are available at circa 5% at the moment which would save a lot of £ over 3-5 years.

thanks chris, at the minute he is looking at just that company.
it is just his latest idea of an easy route to a "decent car".
i will look around for him when i understand what its all about.

If he's planning on hire-purchase @ £300/month then in my opinion he's better of doing a true lease of a new car for the same amount. At least then with a new car it will be in warranty. Lots of good deals here:

The 'secret' of leasing is to be flexible on what car you want to then pick up the best deal.

thanks, wemorgan.
i will take a look.
i have said to get a new motor or just get one on the book but he insists on wanting something out of his real price range.
