How would you handle this junction?

In practice it usually ends up all about timing, there is a similar chicane to the left just behind the white transit.

Confused. You follow the signs, or you are one of the wkers who think they do not apply.

Can't see a problem. Traffic having priority is clearly indicated so you give way when you need to and proceed when it's safe to do so.

I think a well timed Scandinavian flick should get you round the first one and if you have enough speed and you get the timing perfect it should carry you through to the one behind the white transit........

The biggest problem with this junction is it's in Hull.

Um, I thought the problem should be obvious.

Priority is not clear between traffic emerging and turning right into the chicain and traffic approaching from the right and going straight on or left. Both are supposed to give way to each other under different rules of highway code.

What are you implying, that if you stop at the junction for any length of time your allow wheels will vanish and you will be sat on bricks??

It's Fountain road not Bransholme ... they are just not that efficient.

Do not emerge to turn right unless the road you are turning into is clear of oncoming traffic.

Is it just me or does this not look complicated in any way?

I've tried moving around it a bit but it all looks entirely straight forward to me. I'm clearly missing something and probably need a colour coded picture or something to explain it. Maybe it's a trick question!

Nope I can't see it either. Presume OP is trying to over complicate it.

Stupid idea. Would be an hourly road rage attack there if it was in London, don't know about Hull.

If a car pulls out from the side road before you get to the give way lines for the chicane then you don't have priority. See a car approaching the end of the side road and you accelerate so that you make it past the chicane give way before they pull out, they pull out because you increased your speed and they misjudged it. Handbags in the middle of the road.

No I can see what the OP is asking, as there is a junction very similar to it near me.

Suppose there are two cars, one at the junction wanting to turn right towards the chicane and one on the other side of the chicane waiting at the give way line.

The road becomes clear for both of them but who has priority? If they both set off at the same time they're going to meet in the middle of the chicane.
