Renaultsport Clio 200 EDC
Discussion
I know this should probably go in French bred, but I was thinking that, despite the car being out a while, I've not seen a thread in readers car yet nor have I even seen anyone mention they have one.
I can see on eBay and Autotrader that plenty have been sold and have mileage on, so where are all the owners?
I caught myself watching Harris's launch video on it and it had me thinking of one. I'm tempted to yest drive one. Has anyone even driven one yet?
Also as an aside, am I the only person not to have seen one on the road yet, I mean ffs I've seen a P1 twice!!

Renaultsport spend thousands of man hours developing and testing the handling, so what is the benefit of the KWs?

Damnit, he's right. Sorry everyone, all car modifications ever are a waste of time
I think the reason they aren't shifting any RS 200 EDCs is (a) the EDC bit, (b) it doesn't have an F4R, instead it has a little Nissan engine, (c) no one wants a car that plays fake engine noises through the stereo.
Sorry to say it but I really think they've dropped the ball, the RS Clio is no more.

I went to test drive one at my local and the dealer said they're not letting it out on the road.
I also got this. I was told that I could test drive it after buying it. I have driven one though, the engine is competent but dull and the gearbox is no better or worse than VAG DSG units but pretty much misses the mark imo as it just dulls the whole experience most would expect from a Renaultsport product further.
Handling wise it's no better than the old car and the seating position is still too high.
It's a car that should have been marketed as a GT model imo
The other failing is that the finance deals for Renaultsport vehicles at the moment are quite frankly embarrassing when compared with the likes of Ford and the German marques.

Turn an innocent question into a generalisation why don't you

If you read the thread you will notice that some people have bought them: your black and white world view might be a bit on the p1ss.

I'd opine that the average age of a new RenualtSport Clio buyer is 26, yet somehow, inexplicably, Renault has created a car for 13yr olds.
I'm glad no-one is buying it. Hopefully Renault will wake up and smell the coffee.
