how can i find out who i insured my car with several yrs ago

Is there any easy way online or via the insurance chaps to find out who i insured my car with 5 years ago?! need to know the details but cannot remember. have the car reg etc.

any easy way or do i have to ring round everyone?

hmm a possibilty not sure how far they go back online and will be a bit of a pain though

If you ask your current insurer if you are kind they may be able to tell you, go through to claims and ask nicely, tell them you cant remember the company. They will be able to do a MID check.

hurrah found from an old email its aplan. unfortunately they dont have a central system and dont know which office so it could have been 1 of 70! theyve sent a group email round so hopefully one of them recognises me
