Is now just utterly populated with tts!

Numerous times you sell a car and the winning bidder pulls out. I put my Capri on there, 10000page views 450 watchers and a good price, winning bidder then backs out. It's happened several times before as well. I even went to one of the other bidders and offered the car for £900 less than it sold for and even he said his son bid accidentally.

Welcome to the world of ebay

A world full of people who offer you silly money, A world that has you waiting around all day for people to show up and they don't have the manners to cancel. A world that has people buying stuff they will never pay for.

And, on the non-automotive side, they take 15% of all money plus insertion fees!

5% to Paypal straight away, leaving you with 95%, then you have to pay 10% of the original value with that 95% you have left for final value fees and postage!

Sold a remote control car for 90 quid. I saw 75 pounds of that!

The dirty thieving bds!

When you listed your RC car, how much did they tell you they were going to take?

If it's more than they said, then they are certainly dirty thieving bds.

If they took what they said they were going to take, well you're a bit daft for selling it on there if you weren't happy with the figure.

To the OP - when (if) you relist your car, tighten up your buyer preferences. You can set it to don't accept bids from bidders with no credit card registered, or no Paypal account etc, bidders with 2 non-paying bidder strikes etc. Don't bother leaving shouty feedback. If your car has sold a few times for say £1k, then consider putting it on a Classified listing for £995 - it will stay on sale until you swap it for a lump of money. Trouble is with auctions is they take too long to finish & "buyers remorse" sets in, or they'll find something else to bid on, or bid last-minute then back out etc.
