Rights to cancel?
Discussion
Ordered a new Ford Connect in mid November for a December build, delivery early Jan.
I paid a £500 deposit.
I've since had a number of emails putting the delivery date back time and again. The latest promise was a delivery date of mid Feb but it been revised again for a 1st March delivery (hand over probably 5-6th March).
I specifically chose this dealer because of the promised early January Delivery. Can I demand a refund of my deposit?

Ok you have been mucked about; whether by the dealer or by Ford and believe me this sort of thing can happen with factory build vehicles, I should know; don't believe anyone who will no doubt come on here and say it's a conspiracy and they've probably sold if to someone else at a greater profit etc etc, however given that it is now 2 weeks away from March is there really any point in trying to cancel; you've waited this long and you will still be sans van if you cancel?
Get on to Ford customer services and have a whinge, see what they can sort out for you in terms of a few sweetners for being dicked about, it works.

As said, cancelling and placing another order with another dealer that would take 3 months is cutting off your nose to spite your face. As it's (I assume) a business vehicle I would try to get some sort of sweetener from them for the hassle, no idea if there's any mileage in that though.
