Awful Interiors - my vote

I have a Vauxhall Insignia as a hire car at the moment, and it has a truly horrid interior. It's an ocean of grey plastic, the trip computer is redder and brighter than a baboons arse, the seat is hard and too high, even when on its lowest setting, the wheel and pedals are offset (wheel to the left, pedals to the right), the gearshift is surrounded by childs toy plastic, and the dials are unreadable, and look as though they are from some 1950s soviet taxi.

To make things worse the diesel engine, with only 8500 miles, sounds like a tractor that's towing a cruise liner.

It's truly the worst hire car I've ever had, and that includes the Hyundai Atoz I got in Corfu fifteen years ago.

I have insignia hire cars quite a bit and find the cabin layout quite nice.

I hate the seats though, far to firm and very uncomfortable.

1) I would suspect there is a dimmer somewhere.
2) You just described 999% of all new cars.

Whats wrong with the dials? always seemed very clear in insignias to me.

Same here. And the steering wheel doesn't adjust high enough for me.

yeah my dad has one and i quite like it, bit more interesting than most other cars in the class...if a little dark and plasticy

Mini - nasty naff huge central speedo trying to be retro (i think) mixed with hard nasty scratchy plastics, - oh and a awful ride on normal roads

That interior is bit pink - but not too bad. I hate grey leather interiors like this:

I had a Volvo S40 as a courtesy car from Stratstone Jaguar a number of years back. That was a horrible interior. I can't recall the figure now but I counted a surprising number different shades or textures of grey inside. It looked cack. I thought the previous generation of Skodas were exceptionally ugly interiors too.

I have to totally disagree with your view on the mini, I think the interior is brilliant



I also find the ride on 15" wheels is excellent!

Some of the colours you can get the leather in Porches and Audis are truly horrific, my vote would be with them.

I'm not a fan of the current A3 interior. Like the current A Class it's just trying far too hard and comes across as over the top.
