I see a lot of traders called something or other trade cars.

Some of the adverts seem to read as if they are "retail" dealers - so what's the rationale for the name?

It is just marketing, the same way a shop might call themselves "Discount Washing Machines" or "xyv Bargains" etc.

People see "trade" and they think "they must be cheap" even if they're not.
