I've never ordered a 'factory-build' new car before, but have instead always chosen to buy cars already available in a dealers inventory which are available for immediate delivery.
This time around I placed an order for a new M5 with a decent spec and, nearly 3 months since the date of ordering, am on the edge of a nervous breakdown - like a hyperactive child at Christmas, the wait for my new toy is killing me.
Who else is currently couting the days until your new toy arrives? What have you ordered, and how long have you had to wait?

ordered a tiguan r line for the wife,
not due for a good while yet,as we only ordered it a couple of weeks ago,
probably looking at may/june time before we see it
no real excitement tbh, the wife doesn't even seem that bothered either which considering what it's costing is a bit disappointing,
maybe when it's nearer the time she'll show a bit more enthusiasm

I starting checking the replies to this thread with some tredipation until, there it was, yep, its popped up again, that damn omnipresent in every thread M135i. Is there a single thread on PH right now that doesnt have some of the most tenuous M135i links?
What did you have for Tea last night? Oooh Egg and Chips but we ran out of eggs so I dashed out to the 7till11 in the M135i to buy some

Snap! In identical position to you.....with the exact same car! Going to put my fingers in my ears re depreciation and MPG and drive the wheels off it. And like you, never bought a brand new car before. Hopefully it arrives in 4 weeks. Keep resisting the urge to chase the dealer every week for an update !
