First 14 plate I've seen... a bit premature?

I understood 14 plates to be coming out on 1st March, is this legal?

At a guess, thats at a main dealer, part of their carpark. The vehicle has probably arrived, with a customer not wanting it till March 1st. Its been PDI'd, plated, just awaiting valet and delivery to the customer. Thats what I reckon anyway

I saw a 14 plate golf on the road yesterday, it had white writing on passenger side window so i assumed it was a pre delivery car of some sort

not until the people around its new home have seen it as a 14 plate then the private plate will be on

When I worked at a main dealer ,I saw a letter that said any new reg car seen out too early could be re registered with the older reg.

This was for the 1983 A reg year so going back a bit.......

Yes, I was highly amused when I found out how common it is for prestige dealerships to supply new cars WITHOUT personal plates!!
