What kind of driver are you? motorway filtering

A stretch of motorway I travel on daily now haw lane restrictions. 3 lanes down to 2 and controlled with average speed cameras.
Now every morning approaching this I pull when safe normally into the middle lane as the outside lane is the one closed. On a daily basis I always see someone flying down the outside lane right to the point of the cones directing them into the middle lane. They then push there way into traffic and anger any motorists around them.
This got me thinking, What kind of driver are you? Do you get in a slower moving lane and wait your turn or do you push in at the last minute?

That is what you are supposed to do. It makes use of as much road as possible and if everyone did it the queue you chose to sit in would have been shorter.Merger. I won't fly down to the very end, but I will drive at an appropriate speed and be indicating from the 200 yd point to get in. Not barge in, merge in. I would also do this in a truck when I was driving them.
I also hate it when truckers block ( ex trucker). I used to pretend to my fellow truckers I would be a blocker so they wouldn't block me off, get almost level and then boot it past ( when one trucker is weaving to block).

If I'm in the lane that's closing I'll continue to the end then wait to be let in, rather than being pushy.
I don't see what's wrong with using either lane, but barging in is as bad as trying to stop people barge in.
The A303 now has big signs saying "Use both lanes when queueing" at merges so I must be doing the right thing.

Can someone tell me if this is actually obstruction? I see it all the time when I'm on my motorbike and able to ride past them, but it infuriates me! I wish I was an unmarked car sometimes and could pull them over and give them a bThose morons really do need a missile up their bums.

It is obstruction. In addition, coaches and HGVs are not allowed in lane 3 of a three lane motorway.king! Who are they to decide who merges and when!?? Just fks me right off Take photographs +/or video and report to vehicle operators and police.
Merge in turn, go down the overtaking lane till I have no more room and merge, if someone refuses to allow me in then I will bully them until they do.
I recently was stopped from merging by a wagon pulling out, I waited until he moved into lane 1 and pulled alongside his cab matching his speed until he inevitably came upto someone doing less than he was. He was then stuck then in lane 1. On this occasion the little old fella in lane 1 was doing about 40, my god that wagon driver was proper pissed off at me.
So merge in turn and don't block.

I find the best course in slow moving traffic is to move quite close to the end of the lane, but attempt a merge a wee bit before the last possible moment (ie plenty of time, but not ages back). If the person next to me is cooperative, I move across. If they aren't, I move ahead of him in the queue, as usually there aren't 2 knobs in a row. This has the excellent effect of letting the uncooperative knob see what courteous and correct driving looks like

But...but....but...but it's a queue. You have to join the back and wait your turn. Like a sheep.
