Got a couple of questions. Just got my wheels back, forgive my ignorance but I'm guessing this is normal for the back of the wheel to be kept like this?
Also, not sure how *DO NOT REFIT TYRES* can be interpreted any other way but there you go.
Would a tyre fitter charge more for having to remove and fit tyres as opposed to just fitting new ones to bare alloys or do they tend to just charge the same?
How long do I have to wait before applying a sealant/coating?

its not the end of the world not having the backs completely coated.
when mine were powder coated they came back completely painted and me being me i just prefer them that way although on yours i see some writing so not sure what thats all about. are all 4 wheels the same or just this wheel?

All four are like this. I was meaning more the back of the wheel being kept the black base coat. It doesn't bother me really, just not what I was expecting but if it's normal then fair enough.
I was asking about tyres because if I'll be charged more for fitting now because they couldn't read I'll be a bit miffed.

Timely thread as I've just bought a second set of wheels for my car (for winter!!), which have some light cosmetic damage on them (a few scratches here and there, nothing heavy).
The plan is to get winter tyres sorted out by next winter, and refurbing these wheels is top of the job list.
An aside: anyone know of somewhere *cheap* to get my OEM BMW style 306 wheels cosmetically refurbished?
I've found several places looking for circa £250 to do four but to me that's kinda strong money for light damage, also taking into account the wheels won't have any tyres to remove-replace or balance, etc. It's not like I have a set of heavily kerbed aftermarket split rims, which would cost about the same.
Area: Hampshire or near.

Most towns have a local powdercoaters that'll do 4 wheels for around about £100.
They normally just acid dip or shot blast the wheels the powder coat them. So it won't fix it if there's lumps missing from the wheel.
I've had a few sets of wheels done at a few different powdercoaters and they have all been roughly the same quality.
Not perfect, but pretty good for £25 a tyre.

4 x up to 18” single piece, alloy wheel refurbishment in our black chrome two tone finish with tyres approx £340.00 + VATIt all came to £411.60 so I'd assume so.
