Alloy wheels repair ie non full refurb
Discussion
So I'm looking for low cost options to spruce up alloys which has rim edge kerb and a couple of gouges
One local company said it would be £200 for 4 x19"
Process: lacquer stripped, damage repaired, re painted and the 2 coats of lacquer
Not had any quote backs from other places, thoughts?

Seems very reasonable for all four wheels - I recently had some 18" alloys done and the rate was £60 per wheel for a full-face refurb and £30 per wheel for a partial (prices ex-vat).One local company said it would be £200 for 4 x19"

Do a DIY with,

- Dremel and/or emery cloth to smooth the roughest parts of damage
- Clean with methylated spirit and an old toothbrush
- Apply primer (Halfords spray can) using a small modeller's paint brush
- Apply a close colour paint (Halfords spray can) using a small modeller's paint brush

I may have a crack at that with everything except the paint (instead plumping for a local powdercoater).- Dremel and/or emery cloth to smooth the roughest parts of damage

If I can be bothered I'll take photos as I go.
