vibration

hi guys hope you can help i have an vauxhall antara 2000cc cdti se model yr 2058 45000miles it has developed a vibration at 5 to 20mph and then goes away i cant seem to find out what it is i thought at first prop shaft but thats ok can anyone help ?? many thanks

Does it stop when you brake?

Any tyre damage?

Do you feel it through your hands or ass?

Do you feel it on full lock and straight?

Front or er.. rear?

Is it after using the handbrake? Could be brakes binding slightly, or maybe a slightly warped disc.

Have you checked the rear tyres, no bulges or any such thing. Have you lost a balance weight?

Next time you stop after a decent drive, spit on the wheel it seems to be coming from. If it sizzles the brakes are binding.


If not, try getting it balanced as after that it will be something worn or damaged and £££.
