If I was local I'd probably take a look at it. Before ebay got massively overpopulated I used to make decent money like this: I'd find ads for computers/phones that were misspelt, badly described or with errors in the listing, bid on them, and sell them on for a profit. Never lost out because I always paid either paypal so I could get a refund if the item was useless or cash on collection, where I could inspect the item before buying.

I bought a lancia dedra off ebay sight unseen this year, the OH will go nuts if I buy another unseen car.
( To be fair the lancia did last 8 months)

youre right about the tax but dont believe everything you read about scrap values - also why jump straight to scrapping it? At this money maybe its worth keeping for a while?

i'm taking nothing away from the fact its still a £200 car with tax and MOT.
