Going to view a 2000 reg 6n2 tomorrow, was wondering if there is anything I should be keeping an eye out for? Really like the cars, seem pretty nippy and reliable? I have heard about an issue with the gear boxes in them? Also is it right there were only 1000 of these made? Price is 1800 with 74000 on the clock does that sound about right? Thanks in advance.
As previously mentioned the pedal box and gearbox are the weak links, I believe the pedal box was recalled at some point so it could be ok on the one you are looking at, wheels corrode around the rim and the clutch is naturally heavy.
I ran one for 2 years and 25k and it was a good little car, no major problems at all, they are well specced with xenons, climate ect.

I ran one for about 2 years as well. Cheap and cheerful run around. Weak spots as highlighted above. The alloys needed a refurb as they'd started to lift. The guy who did mine said it was a pig of a job.
The only reason I got rid was because we needed a slightly bigger car at the time. I'd happiply have another one
