At the moment I've got an mx5 but two whippets means I could do with something with those pretend seats in the back that aren't any good for humans but would hold a couple of small curled up dogs. I'm looking for something like an mx5 but with that extra bit of space and still a nice fun drive. It seems that it used to be a fashionable niche but not anymore
my favourite is the 944 but might be ruiness

Is this design called "fastback" or something ? Is there a good version of it that Im looking for? Surely I can't be the only one who likes 2+ nearly two seats? What should I be looking at? BTW the 944 is just the ticket, I wonder why they stopped making it and why theres not bunches of jap copies of it?

Be flogging my Megane Coupe shortly, that's got rear seats that could suit the sprogs. . .MGBGT headroom will be an issue eventually, trust me my dad had one ! your other choices look a better bet
