What car for £3500ish

Hey guys,

Ive recently started a new job and looking to change my mk4 golf gt tdi for something alittle more fun and sporty. I have had my eye on either a gen 7 Celica vvtl-i or a Civic Type R.

I cant decide between the two or if theirs something else out there that might tick the same boxes.

I am looking for something that's

Relatively quick
Reliable
high 20mpg
atleast 4 seats.

I dont fancy another French car had a 172 with a shed load of receipts / service history and the thing broke once a month so got rid sharpish. great car to drive when it worked but fails the reliable test.

Had a 1.4 leon as a winter hack and it was plagued with electrical faults and the dread swimming pools in the footwells. so giving them a miss for now.

mini too small i feel.

Had a is200 that would only return 22mpg no matter how i drove dont think the 430 would be any better

Mixed driving (energetically) will get you 22+ Motorway driving will get you into the 30's. I had a GS300 before the 430 & that was a heavier drinker.
