Insurance quotes before passing test

Hi folks Im 17 and currently had 8 driving lessons, I would just like to get an idea of how much car insurance will cost for me when I pass, I would like to get some quotes but worried I could screw up getting quotes for when I really do pass my test. Do I have to use a fake name,etc or can I use my real name?

2-3k from what I can see could be more depending on where you live.

I have mates insured for less than 2k, using black boxes and having named drivers on their policy, I want an actual quote you see from an insurance company.

go on to compare the market.com or any other of the sites it will give you all you need

Just don't use proper information about yourself. Or just wait till you pass then do some quotes.

Thats what Im asking is it best not to use proper info, what info can I use, or would it be a good idea phoning a insurance company up and saying to them I not passed my test yet, but would like a quote for when i do. Just dont want to screw anything up

Your only doing quotes ive altered quotes before getting insurance to see if I can reduce the price. Even then when I decided on the best one they didn't mention about the other quotes. Anyway it's going to be a while till you actually take out the insurance so don't worry to much about it.
