One of our cars was written off (not our fault as driver went into the back of it). The insurance company are putting the value of it at £1K less than its replacement value regardless of the evidence presented to them. Whats the solution??!

You refer your case to the Financials Ombudsman who rules according to the guidelines.

This link is what you need, I suggest you read it a couple of times and pay particular attention to sections 2, 5, 6 & 8.

A mistake people make is assuming advertised prices as the value of the car whereas the Ombudsman generally regards the advertised price as a starting price for negotiation.
