It's a bit sudden isn't it? How about waiting a year or two to add something new to the 4C and Alfa range? When is the GTS/Targa topped one coming out?

It's not much of a convertible if it looks like that. More like they've put a letter box in the roof. Surely the windscreen frame needs to be no further back than the steering wheel to actually make it feel like a convertible?

So it is a GTS/Targa/Elise lift out roof panel type arrangement. I doubt the flatulent four pot sounds much better with the roof off.

The lights and exhaust can be retrofitted to the coupe as well.

It's fabric, apparently, and I'd put money on it being pretty hokey.

Isn't the fact that that picture has those headlamps evidence of a photoshop mock up?

The email I received from alfa still shows the standard lights.

Hmm, good point.

Still that gap between the windscreen and the roll bar barely looks big enough to be a decent sized sunroof, let alone to feel like a full convertible. It'll be interesting to see what it feels like from the drivers' seat. The MX5 still looks to have a much bigger distance from head rest to windscreen frame.

Regardless of what it feels like, it looks daft to me. Trying to hide the roll bar by painting it black does not work.

Yeah it's clearly more like a T-Bar than a full on convertible. How you can criticise the looks is beyond me though.

I read it as a quote from someone in Alfa. Can't remember where though, I've read so many articles on it!
