Seasonal used car prices

I'm looking for an Evo at the moment, I've been following the market for months and I'd like to think I have an idea which car/spec/mileage/condition is worth. Through Dec, Jan and Feb lots of cars sold for decent (low) prices.

Now we're in March the asking prices seem to have gone through the roof. Does this occur every year or does it just appear this way because I'm sick of getting the bus and getting impatient?

Everyone is shopping for their summer toy.
Obviously.

If you were buying a yaris it may be different.

Also, im sure the mild winter dropped Evo prices even further than they would have otherwise.
