Toureg 4.2TDi V8

I am thinking of buying a 4.2 V8 TDi Touareg, does anyone on Piston heads own one? I would be very interested to hear what they think of the car and would appreciate some input?!

I love the understated looks, badge compared to Range Rovers, BMW X5 and Merc ML, Porsche as everyone has these in my neck of the woods!

I had to drive one of these from Cardiff to Edinburgh and back in a day when it was a 6 month old car. Really couldn't believe how off the pace it was. Very poor and jiggly drive, and it really seemed to struggle to stay in a straight line on the motorway. Engine pulled well, but the economy on that trip was not very impressive at all for a diesel.

Still, if it's an £8k second hand car instead of a £40k new car your expectations are much lower!
