Electronic gates tampered with

Evening all, it seems the electronic gates at my flat have been tampered with - a large sticky label was placed all around one of the sensors. The result was the gates not working and most people having to leave their cars on the street. Is it likely a prankster, or should is it a known scam for nicking cars?

Probably just being paranoid, just struck me as a very strange thing to do.

More likely a prank - a bit like the Richard Heads that place a lighter in the Tube door channels when exiting to prevent them from closing.

Shirley just remove tape? Guess the idea could be to force others to park on road and then get lifted/broken into etc


Little bit of paranoia never hurts. Assume dickless wonders are trying to steal your stuff and you'll take steps without thinking. Fail to prepare prepare to fail etc

The amount of people that leave laptops and satnavs on display in cars then wonder WHY it got nicked never fails to amaze.
