Housebuilding in Silverstone

After 2 years of legal wrangling, the ok was given today to build 220 houses in Silverstone village. The site is less than 1km from Silverstone circuit, so expect noise-related restrictions to follow, as has happened at Brands and Croft.

FFS, surely a covenant in the deeds of the houses sold should include a clause which restricts the owner/any resident from launching any formal noise pollution complaints.

Another bad day for motorsport/track-day drivers, if i was on the council, or even an operations manager at silverstone that clause should be a condition of the planning.

Terrible idea. PHers will fight to the death over the correct use of indicators on a deseerted motorway, so they certainly shouldn't live next door to each other.

Very good point that. Castle Combe could do with having the same on the resale of any property in the village.

Although buying a house near a racetrack then complaining about the noise will be a public display of idiocy.
