first impressions of a GLA

This has just arrived to trial for a few days;



First impressions;
- It's the 220CDI 4MATIC, weighing in at just over £29k. Strikes me as expensive.
- Don't mind the looks, it's a bit 'meh'. Not as ugly as something like a Q3, X1, X3 or Tiguan but not as nice as a Sportage or IX35.
- It seems pretty low for a crossover/small 4X4.
- the Mercedes reps I've spoken to would compare it to an Evoque but it certainly doesn't feel as solid and seems to be much smaller.
- It has 'that' screen from the A-Class. In fact I can't really separate the interiors from the A-Class, I don't think there is a single difference. Granted I've come into it from a weekend in a Lexus LS but the screen and centre compartments (where a gear stick would be in a manual) seem very cheap.

It seems OK, it's not my sort of car but there just doesn't seem anything exciting about it and doesn't do anything special or innovative. I wasn't really expecting anything else but unlike the last A-Class variant I drove (an A45) it hasn't surprised me at all.
