Xenon headlights - Cars keep flashing me

Hi folks -

I would have posted this in to the Mini section, but only tumble weed seems to occupy that section of the forum.

I have a Mini Cooper R56 with standard xenon headlights which are fantastic, for me at least. As recently when cars are coming towards me, they will flash me. Initially I thought it was because I had a light out, but no, all my lights are there and present.
The auto adjust appears to be working just fine, so that doesn't seem to be a fault.

This is my first car that has xenon headlights, so is this something that will just keep happening?

I do try not to give the driver a full beam flash, as I don't want to dazzle them anymore than what my dipped beam has.

Get the alignment checked out, if it's OK, then flash them back and wave.

The issue with Xenons is that they are very bright and if you are heading towards a car with them and aren't perfectly level, they are dazzling so I think it's something you are going to have to get used to.

Have you had their alignment checked? They could be out.

Yes I was always flashed in my RS even though they had been adjusted correctly for the MOT.

I think Xenons have a very fine range, in that if you went over a bump for example the lights then point skywards and can blind. Probably holds more sway with a stiffly sprung car as well.
