So, 95% of the time when it is sunny I see a number of muppets with their front fogs on.

Yesterday however I drove 100 miles in fog, with about half the cars on the road not even bothering with sidelights.

On my 40 mile commute this morning, I was surprised to note the amount of drivers with daylight running lights on thinking they were safe, and no rear lights, these being:
5 x Audi, A4 & A3
3 x Volvo, V40
2 x Hyundai
1 x Mercedes E class
all driving along in complete ignorance that they didnt have any rear lights on in thick fog.
And this is apart from all of the usual retards that dont have any lights on at all.

This is the reason i cant understand why DRL's dont light up the back too.

I find the people that put sidelights on, but not fogs or headlights on more stupid than the ones with no lights at all. It means they have actually thought about it and still get it wrong.

Confession time! That was me this morning. Driving my wife's car I thought I had put the fog lights on and I hadn't. I was cursing other people as well. I swap between three cars and this morning forgot to double check. Less likely that I would have made the mistake in other two cars as the light switches are clearly visible whereas in my wide's Audi the fog light switches were just out of my line of sight while driving and I was concentrating quite hard on what was going on ahead of me.

This morning I followed a Fiat Panda for about 10 miles through fog, then once it started to show signs of clearing up they stuck the rear fog light on.

I was, well, there were just no words....

Then the other night me and a mate passed someone (at night, no fog) who had sidelights and front fogs on instead of headlights, once again, no words.

Worse still is that you can run the DRLs on Audi and press the nob to put your front fogs on.

I had one of the new A6s following me this morning, with the fancy fog lights in the main headlight (one with out any fog lights in the bottom of the bumper)

Feck knows what it was doing but it was really struggling to deal with the patchy fog, every few seconds I would get blasted with full light, then down to DRLs...a right mess.

Sorry, I thought about it when I was trying to pull out of a junction and nearly got hit by a car I only just saw in time to stop as it had no lights on at all in thick fog.

Gonna think that a lot of this is caused by auto-lights. Esp on the newer/decent spec cars. Alot of people flick that swixh to auto when first picking up the car, and there is stays until handed back.

Also my excuse lately (along with only having had the thing for 8 months) - doesn't matter where I put the seat, how I rake the wheel, I still have to take my eyes off the road for a long time to hit the buttons. Fine if it's foggy when you set out or stop, but useless on the move or where the fog is patchy.
