Jacking up a car on a sloping drive

I need to change the rear brake pads on my LS400. It's too big to fit comfortably in the garage, and I am not sure how to safely jack it up on my sloping driveway. It's fairly steep, about 18" higher at one end of the car than the other. I have a good selection of trolley jacks and axle stands, is there a safe way to do this? I thought I would park it nose-down (so it's not trying to roll into me), put some big chocks on the front wheels, and raise one rear wheel at a time with trolley jack and axle stand.

The other way round. Then make sure its higher at the jacking end than the slope. Best idea is to do it on a level surface though.

My drive slopes too, I go to the village hall and use their nice flat car park when I want to jack the car up.

I have the same issue and you need ramps. My drive is too steep to drive onto them without hitting the splitter on them so here is what I do.

Put the end of the car you want to work on facing down the slope and chock the wheels that are uphill.. Jack the car up each side a bit at a time and slide the ramp under it after each inch. After a couple of minutes you will have the car completely stable up in the air. Then jack up the wheel you want to work on a bit more, put the axle stand under it and slide the ramp out so you can get the wheel off.
