Could / should this alloy be refurbed?

I bought a set of used original 16" Mini wheels unseen for £35.

I'm actually impressed with the condition after a clean up, except for one. I've seen plenty of parking rash but this one looks like its actually got a couple of dents in the rim. Someone must have driven into a curb rather than grazed it whilst parking?

So I'm not sure. What do you think? Pics:

Doesn't look bad to me. If you get the wheels put on a balancer you can spin them up and check for them being buckled.

A decent refurber will get them looking good as new.

As you're SE based try Lepsons,always sorted my scruffy wheels out.

Thanks guys. Lepsons are a good shout, but at £70 a wheel for a set that cost me half of that leads me to attempt a bit of DIY. They are only a second set.

Getting them on a spinner is a good shout, I want to know they are still true.

That's what I do. With a bit of care you'll get a result no-one will ever notice for about £20 at Halfords.

• Dremel and/or emery paper
• Wipe clean with methylated spirit
• Apply primer with modeller's paint brush
• Apply top coat with modeller's paint brush.

Well worth a bit of time and effort.
