Apparently the winner of Fridays £108,000,000 is a mechanic from Surrey who's into motor racing.

Finally, there may be someone who will spend it like a petrol head !

Isn't there a reason they do this? Something like if you go public the lotto will manage your publicity and help fend iff the jealousy, the media at the diorstep, beggars etc. But if stay anonymous and are uncovered by some random journo that you'll be on your own.

Yep it'd be awful. I'd have an excellent time dishing out £10,000 gifts on the sly to everyone deserving but no way would I want to be known. Just way too much hassle from everyone wanting a slice.

I probably wouldn't go public but it would become extremely obvious very quickly when i'm seen driving around in a convoy of diamond plated Koenigseggs. Words cannot describe how many cars i'd buy.

Its almost impossible to keep on the low down, someone close to me won £250k and it slowly started leaking out, with £108m you would have no chance.

You could make it a challenge to see how long it is before someone would take notice.

Personally i would not like to win 108M, its a helluvalot of money. And as some people have said it would attract the wrong type of person. You'd quickly find you had friends you never knew you had.

I can't get my head round why anyone would go public with this sort of amount? Unless it's some grand gesture announcing it's all going to charity, surely you're asking for a lot of trouble...

Just saying that there are many stories of large amounts of money doing more harm than good.
