7 seater estates

Excluding off roaders and MPV's, which estate cars have 7 seats (usually optional)?

I can think of the E class estate and some of the bigger Volvos, but that's it. I understand that the rear facing fold up seats in the boot are for children and reduces boot space. I don't think cars like the Mondeo/Insignia et al offer these extra seats.

I don't know what budget/age you're looking at, but the Audi A6 came with that option too. I can only think of the A6, V70, and E Class.

If you can find one...Citroen CX Safari....think had 7 forward facing seats...top bit of French charm

vw caravelle is perhaps the ultimate family vehicle. but they hold their value exceptionally well.

Ive had a couple: seriously handy things and unbelievable retained value when you sell on. mainly because of the vw scene and ability to turn into campers.

problem with 7 seat cars/mpvs, you realistically don't have any space for 7 peoples luggage !

You may class it as an MPV but the R class Merc had six seats...

Can't think of any more current ones but the Peugeot 406 and 505 both had 7 seat options.

pretty sure the 307SW had a 7 seat option too.

Yep, the 307 SW is a 7-seater. Well, more of a 5+2.

The 308 SW also retains a 7 seat option.

I think the general feeling is that the S-Max is probably the best driving 7-seater out there, obviously it's more of an MPV albeit a slightly sleeker one.

Quite a rare option on some 5-series. As you say they are only really useful for small kids and even then, do you want to put small kids at the very back of an old car like some of those suggested in this thread?

Perhaps Volvo is the answer here.

The old Peugeot 505 Estate could seat eight.

Finding one in good nick these days mey be a challenge, though.
