Engine or Wheel and Tyre Coffee Tables

Wee bro has recently moved into a flat and looking to get him one of the above as a house warming.

Ideally not looking to spend the £990 advertised on V12 engine tables site. Do any posters know of other firms offering same for comparatively less?

Also considering F1 tyres or wheels for tables and again recommendations of where to look are appreciated.

You can pick up an old F1 wheel from eBay for £60-£80, and it wouldn't be too hard to make it into a coffee table.

It depends on whether it needs to be F1 or just any bit of car.

There's lots of people on ebay or estsy that make stuff from random engine parts.
Just google.

When I worked at Halfords we had an old ripspeed wheel table in the staff room, taken back from when they used to have a ripspeed area of the shop.

IIRC it was literally an alloy, and the legs came out the bolt holes (so were just long wheel bolts capped behind the alloy) with a brake disc at the top as the base for the glass.

Wouldn't be too much to make something similar for maybe 200-250

I've got a collection of old Volvo 940 Estates with loads of alloy wheels for sale
You could go into production with the wheels and engines then turn the two cars into sheds or greenhouses...
How eco is that....

Interesting, I quite like the small clocks in an F1 wheel nut (would like to know if they really are F1), but £50 is far too expensive for that.

Anyone know where I could get a centre nut big enough to hold a clock face for significantly less so I could make my own?

Had a look and couldn't find much from other motorsports? pity.

Starting at £99 + £55 for postage. If you wait for a private seller with an older wheel, you'll probably get one for cheaper.

A rear wheel will sit 20cm higher than a front and has more dish.

I can't say I have looked recently but that's the price I paid for mine last year
