Fast car for 10-11k

Narrowed it down to a mk5 golf r32 or bmw e46 m3. There are a few things putting me off tho like the high tax on the r32 and the potential problems that a bmw e46 can have. I don't really want a 4pot turbo either as i have had quite a few over the last few years, really undecided

Then again I am a bit biased, but did shop around almost all other similar cars in the price range before buying. Put the biggest smile on my face out of all, and still does.

Turbo'd R32? I saw a very decent one sell last week, £9995 asking price 400hp, fsh and low mileage from a garage.

I bet they are a great drive, do you own one? I am 6ft 5 so might be to small for me

I have a Coupe 125i M Sport mapped back to 130i power, so drives exactly like a 130i. It's a brilliant package. Perfect at absolutely nothing but excellent at practically everything. You would be comfortable behind the wheel but there would be no leg room behind you, still that would leave you with 3 spare seats...

N52 engine, last of the I6, super smooth, good noise, incredibly flexible. No turbo, no DI. 30mpg realistically. Uber reliable.

Chassis is very decent on non-runflats. Very tractable and predictable handling and surprisingly neutral.

Got to be a 330i coupe (e92), great all around and in my opinion much better looking at the 130i, it was my choice anyway.
