Heathrow one way car rental

Can you pick up anything decent on a one way rental, pick up Heathrow and return to Glasgow? The FiL arrives in to Heathrow and is looking for something a bit more interesting to drive back up in.

I did it through AVIS, had a flight back from San Francisco to LHR then was supposed to wait for 5 hours and get a flight to Manchester so took a hire car instead.

They were fine with 1 way hire to Sheffield, think they charged me an extra £25. I asked for mid range and got a Citroen DS3 THP which I ragged around in for another day after I got back and had a laugh in
