M4 ARK plate .... where best to value/sell it ?

Hi,
I am struggling to get a sensible valuation for my plate M4 ARK. There ones I've had so far cover a very wide range 1 - 25k. There is K4 ARL for sale at 6k but I'm thinking M4 ARK should worth more because the name is more common. Where is the best place to get an honest valuation and if I decide to sell where is the best place for a plate like mine?
What do you think is a sensible value?

Thanks but no thanks While searching I came across a site new to me called Platewave. It's not selling or buying plates but more a sort of spotters site like the PH thread. I stuck it on there more out of curiosity about the site. Not sure if that's a good idea or not... cloners etc?

Advertise it at £25K
It isn't worth more than what you paid for it.
Just hope someone is more emotionally attached to that number than you are.
My guess. £250 plus £80 transfer fees top.
Oh if you have HRH 1 or A1 or similar - you are onto something. Otherwise it is in the arse gravy dept.

Go to 5+ private-plate partners listed on the DVLA website and get 5+ quotes.
Play them off against each other for price and commission %.
And then stick it on Ebay for the highest price and see if you get a bite.
If noone bites on Ebay, take it back to the middleman who offers the best net price after fees etc.
Be prepared to wait anywhere between a week and 2 years to sell it.

The old cliche is true - its worth what someone will pay for it.
An auction -try H&H or one of the other classic car auctioneers - will find its value for you.
Because it's a bit squinty ("squint and it looks like...") I'd reckon it's probably about £5k. If it was M4 RK something, then probably more, but as it is I reckon £5k.

Already been offered 1k by reg seller to buy it direct off me. I suspect they were hoping to make a killing. They were also by far the fastest to reply to my request.It isn't worth more than what you paid for it.

Edit.. Ask anyone who has quoted more than £4K to buy it off you for £4K. They can make a huge profit.
See if anyone puts their money where their mouth is.
If they don't. Then you can immediately discount their bid.

Don't worry about the mindless haters, the platee is about £10k IMO having dealt in many. Plates are really marmite right now and the small penIs boys really have a chip on their shoulders so just ignore them?..there are a lot on ph...I think they drive vauxhall corsas
