Anyone ever used a courier to collect? Help please

Looking at buying some wheels, but the seller wont post.

I have never used a courier to collect, so could someone tell me how it works please?

I assume I ask them to collect, but do they give the seller a time they have to be in, or do they just give a big window?

I cant really expect the seller to stay in all day!

I've used Shiply a few times which works well. The website takes you through the process and its pretty simple.

Probably not of much help but I sold some wheels and the buyer arranged a courier. They matched the collection with a delivery I was expecting so wasn't much of a bother to wait all day. However, I believe you can specify the time that you wish it to be collected. Parcelforce allows it anyhow. How accurate it ends up being I don't know.

I have used paisley freight for wheels a few times with good success. They only give a day they are picking up between 8.30 and 1700.
