3k used car suggestions ?

Hi what should I be looking at for a used car for under 3k quid that has the following im 28 male btw.
Criteria:
Petrol or diesel doesn't matter ideally petrol
Cheapish parts
Cheapish insurance and tax
Cheapish service
Reliable and good build quality
Good on fuel at least 40mpg to 50mpg would be nice
Good engine and gearbox to cruise at motorway speed all day and not be reving high and is not sluggish in between.
My current commute is 80 miles per day on a mixture of mainly motorways and some stop start town work my current car Corsa only gets 25-30mpg which is why thinking of change.I did look at the 1.6 focus but discovered the mpg could be better.
