Turbo conversion questions

Afternoon guys,

Apart from labour-wise, what's involved in a turbo conversion?

I mean take out my engine, and replace with an enginer w/ turbo from another car

My brakes are big enough for the power I'll be expecting - If not, I can big brake upgrade

I have a PG1 gearbox, which I believe is the same gearbox used with T16 (220t) engines, which can be pushed to about 225bhp without upgrading internals.

I know I'd need
1. Engine from the/a turbo'd car
2. Turbo
3. Downpipe
4. Intercooler

Would I need to upgrade anything else?

I know there's not too much info here, but I am making sure I understand what things need replacing/upgrading before pricing too much more up haha!

Get yourself on the Rovertech forum would be a good place to start. There is a guy on there that does loom conversions, and there is much useful knowledge available.

Drive shafts
Clutch
Engine mounts
ECU
Exhaust and manifold

This is one of those occasions where it could be easier to buy an entire 220T, 620T or 800 Vitesse to use as much as possible and sell the remains to recoup some money.
