Anyone had any dealings with www.fancyplates.com recently? I've sent them several emails over the past few days (and included my phone number) but no response whatsoever.

Their web contact form isn't working (it brings up a page saying they've exceeded their contact quota) but I've sent emails to several addresses I've found (info@, sales@, orders@) each with the same result - nothing.

I did a search on PH forums to see whether anyone else had mentioned problems with them recently, but the most recent mention was this one, with no more problems mentioned since.

I just ordered some plates from them on Saturday. I did not receive an email confirmation or any communication from them at all but the money came straight out of my account.

I tried calling them several times today , & no one was picking up the phone.

I sent them an email, I received a reply apologising & the chap said they were posted on Monday.

When I arrived home they had already arrived - & they look great.

So I am sure your plates will arrive soon.

Thinking out of the box here but once upon a time a telephone could be used to make contact with people. It's a great form of communication, assuming you get an answer, you can get immediate replies plus conversations that would take days and even weeks via email can be over in minutes.

From NI/UK/: Tel: 00353 71 930 0817

Hope that helps.

I used them recently and like you got zero response from e mail. Like others, the plates arrived, as ordered within 3 days.

There have been several threads like this regarding fancyplates, their mail communication seems poor but their actual plate making services generally seem spot on, made and delivered in good time, I used them again a couple of weeks back with no issue.

Looks like I caught them on a bad day. Ordered 15th, received 29th and no reply to 'phone or email in between.

I'm less sure, as I haven't actually placed an order yet. smile

Yes I could try phoning them, although it sounds like that is hit and miss, and in any case, I wanted to get my requirements and questions down in writing. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect an online business to be capable of responding to an email.

They are an online shop turning out thousands of plates a day.

If you want to discuss your needs to go a local motor factors who are geared up to speaking to people .

Thanks, but I already went to my local motor factors and they are unable to supply what I need, hence seeking specialists who can help.

The original purpose of this thread was to find out whether fancyplates.com were still operating, and I think we've done that.
