5 door family and track car (not at the same time)

Having just sold my lovely mk3 MR2 and bought a boring Astra G to tide me over for now, thoughts naturally turn to the next car.

It needs to:

- be a daily driver (but only for circa 6k miles a year)
- carry two young children and also cope with tip runs etc etc (so I think it needs to be a 5 door hatch)
- cope with the occasional track day (and be enjoyable for this!)

So, with a budget of say 3k what should I be considering?

- VW Golf mk2 GTI
- BMW 3 series touring with a 6 pot (E36 prob)
- Honda Civic Type S (EP3)
- Toyota Corolla 1.8 (VVTL-i with 189bhp)
- Megane 225
- Peugeot 306 XSI
- Ford Focus ST170
- Seat Leon Cupra

Anything that I have missed?
